December 04 Sunday, His Holiness arrived to Gyumed Monastery and we offered him a warm reception. We attended the debate inspection session in Gyumed monastery.
December 05 Monday, we had teachings from His Holiness at Gyumed Monastery. This evening I joined an important gathering. I attended an important meeting of the head of the Monasteries.
December 06 Tuesday, we had continued teachings from His Holiness. I went to see Artist Thupten and the Thanka ordered by Geshe Tamdin.
December 07 Wednesday, this morning we received long life initiation from His Holiness and we offered long life offerings to him. In the afternoon we joined a meeting presided by His Holiness in the School of Gyumed Monastery. I paid a short visit to Zongkar Chode Monastery.
December 08 Thursday morning His Holiness left Gyumed. We offered farewell to His Holiness and then we embarked on our trip back to our monastery. On the way back we had lunch at Shimoga and arrived back to Gaden by 6.15pm.
December 09 Friday I attended the Posadha and met many people. I had lunch with Ven. Acharya Pema Tsondu at the education project.
December 10 Saturday I met Mr. Kalsang La and attended the Nobel Peace Commemoration celebration at the main hall of the Tibetan Camp. I also attended a special meeting of Science Meets Dharma at Drepung Monastery.
December 11 Sunday I discussed matters with Gekoe. Many people came to report issues to me. I convened a special meeting of the Board for the monastery.
December 12 Monday is official holiday I had good walk with Rinpoche and Chabri la.
December 13 Tuesday morning we had a special election session. The result of half yearly exam and Gelug exam was announced with prize distribution. I delivered a special speech to the general gathering of the monks. I went to the PSK Hubli for documents.
December 14 Wednesday I left the monastery via Hubli and Bangalore arrived to Delhi. I was received at the airport by Rabgyal. I stayed at the Lhasa Guest House in Delhi.
December 15 Thursday, after having breakfast I went to Airport to catch flight to Dharamsala. We were received by organizing committee on our arrival to Dharamsala and stayed at Zambhala Hotel.
December 16 Friday morning the inaugural session of the Conference on Cosmology and Consciousness was blessed and addressed by His Holiness Dalai Lama at TCV hall. I did my presentation in the afternoon. It was very cold.
December 17 Saturday second day of the Conference on Cosmology and Consciousness continued at same venue TCV. It was cold but blessings in form of good sunshine saved us.
December 18 Sunday third and final day of the Conference on Cosmology and Consciousness continued at same venue. The presenters and scholars were thanked by Geshe Lhakdor La, Director of LTWA on concluding speech. I met mother of H. E. Nyagre Tritul Rinpoche at TCV in one of the breaks.
December 19 Monday was first day of magnificent teachings by His Holiness to Russian Buddhists. I was deeply blessed to attend these teachings.
December 20 Tuesday was second day of magnificent teachings by His Holiness to Russian Buddhists. Teachings included preparatory rites for the initiation of five deities Chakrasamvara according the tradition of great adapt Ghantapa. I had great privilege of private audience with His Holiness. I joined tsog offering at Thekchen Choling and Gaden Shartse Khangsar on the precious occasion of the GADEN NGAMCHOE (parinivana; anniversary of Great Tsongkhapa).
December 21 Wednesday was final day of the teachings the actual initiation of five deities Chakrasamvara according the tradition of great adapt Ghantapa. In the afternoon I had a good walk to the Bhagsu Nag fall.
December 22 Thursday I had lunch with Tritul Rinpoche's yum and Gen Phuntsok Namgyal La. I met Dr. Ramlal ji for a tea session in the afternoon at Chinar Lodge. I met some visitors from China and had good chat with them.
December 23 Friday I left Zambhala and arrived to Gaggal airport by correct timing but our flight was delayed due to fog at Delhi. Finally I managed to arrive to Delhi by 4pm and I was picked up at Delhi airport by Tenzin. I stayed at Lhasa Guest House in Delhi.

December Post
November 1 Tuesday we did preparation for the Naga Puja.
November 2 Wednesday we did a Naga puja at Eng Neo. I met Iris and Mark and we had good chat after long time. I also met June and George after long time.
November 3 Thursday I called a contact in Mumbai.
November 4 Friday went to see a joint specialist at Glen Eagles. The physician prescribed me some medicine. In the evening I paid a very short visit to Dropen Ling. This visit to Dropen Ling happened after long gap of at least 9 years. It was great co-incident to be there on the occasion of celebration of birthday of the Center.
November 5 Saturday morning we had sea trip along with the David and family. In the evening I met one of the oldest friends of mine in Singapore and had good chat.
November 6 Sunday I went to Orchard Rd with David and boys. I dropped the books back to Norbu Choling. At Norbu Choling I met few monks form Key Monastery. Today I joined wedding of the daughter of Evon in Singapore and this is my first experience of attending wedding in Singapore. I was there with the David and family.
November 7 Monday I had lunch with L and Albert at Sixth Avenue. In the afternoon David dropped me at the Airport. Wendy and Sylvia came to see me off. Drophen Ling group including the Board members and Venerable monks also came to see me off at the airport. By 11pm I was in the Mumbai and Hotel Airlink picked me from the Airport.
November 8 Tuesday I had BF at the Hotel and left to Airport to catch my flight to Belgaum. I arrived to Belgaum by 1pm. DP and Jampa Chophel received me at the Belgaum Airport. Around 4.30pm I arrived to my residence in the Gaden Monastery.
November 9 Wednesday I rested for this day but the members of education supervisor committee reported to me on the Annual Seminar beginning from tomorrow.
November 10 Thursday morning joined the Sojong (Posadha). Today is first day of Annual Seminar at Gaden Shartse. I gave a short opening speech on the occasion and later I chaired the sessions for whole day.
November 11 Friday is second day of the Annual Seminar in Gaden Shartse. I was present whole day. I distributed the gifts sent by friends to some monks.
November 12 Saturday is third day of Annual Seminar in Gaden Shartse. I had a meeting at Gaden Lachi with the Abbot of Gajang and both Discipline monk of the monastery.
November 13 Sunday morning I presided an important meeting to elect many staffs and in the evening I left the monastery to via Hubli to Bengaluru. By 10.30pm I was received at Bengaluru by Mr. Kalsang Chokteng. I was drove up to Dalai Lama Institute of Higher Studies. I stayed there for the night. The monastery did puja for sponsors.
November 14 Monday morning I attended a session of dialogue between Science and Dharma. In the afternoon I attended AGM of SMDi. The night I stayed at Dalai Lama Institute of Higher Studies.
November 15 Tuesday morning I attended a session of dialogue between Science and Dharma hosted by Science Meets Dharma India. In the afternoon I left Bengaluru to visit Sera Monastery. In the evening I arrived to Sera and stayed at Seramey Monastery. That evening, I met few scholars from my monastery.
November 16 Wednesday morning at 8am I convened initial gathering of Jang Gun Cho 2011 at Sera Lachi. Both abbots of the Sera monastery along with the two Gekos addressed the gathering. After the meeting I left Sera monastery and by 4.30pm I arrived back to Bengaluru and stayed at Park Residency for one night. I visited the nearby brigade road.
November 17 Thursday morning Mr. Tenga dropped me at the Bengaluru Airport. By 9.15am I arrived to Hubli and had BF with DP and Jampa Chophel.
November 18 Friday Geshe Thupten Kalsang and head of the Clinic Dept. reported to me. Geshe Wangchuk form Education Dept. reported to me. An old friend and great supporter of my monastery a nun Nicole, Konchok Chodon paid a short visit to me. We had a very good talk.
November 19 Saturday head of the Clinic Dept. reported to me. Called Ivy and had good chat with David. Friends including Serjeh Khen Rinpoche called me. I called Gajang Khen Rinpoche and Loling Khen Rinpoche.
November 20 Sunday Ven. Serjeh Khen Rinpoche called me. I had lunch with the Chief administrator of Mundgod Tibetan Camp. I prepared some documents.
November 21 Monday afternoon Sopon La came to see me after returning back to the monastery from Dharamsala. I gave him the gifts sent by his friends in Singapore and Malaysia. I prepared projects.
November 22 Tuesday I had lunch with old friend nun Nicole, Konchok Chodon, she has helped the monastery through hard times in past. I forwarded a computer project to a great supporter for funding. DP went to Hubli to redo the air tickets.
November 23 Wednesday two projects are finalized and I forwarded it to seek funding from friends.
November 24 Thursday is annual Tordup at Gaden Lachi. Sojong (Posadh) since Gaden Lachi is occupied to do Tordup pujas we had the sojong at Gaden Jangtse prayer hall.
November 25 Friday Geshe Thupten Kalsang reported to me. We discussed various points. Mr. Ng Pak Cheong from Malaysia and Mr. Ho Si Chin from Taiwan called me. Geshe Chabril called me from Delhi.
November 26 Saturday Geshe Chabril called me from Delhi. We had half yearly audit meeting at Gaden Lachi. I called in elders of five houses; Nahari, Thepo, Tavon, Zungchu and Chone to discuss matters.
November 27 Sunday Geshe Wangchup from Education Dept. reported to me. The principal reported to me on an issue of staff in the school. I called Geshe Lobsang Gyaltsen.
November 28 Monday I went to Hubli for an assignment but manage to buy new wheels for my chair. Jangthin was with us on this trip. I met friends Cynthia, D.G. and L.T on skype. Geshe Locho and Pappu called me.
November 29 Tuesday I prepared the year long table of activities at Gaden Shartse. The elders of five houses reported to me. I called Raju, Sherab and Denjong.
November 30 Wednesday I led the special fire pujas for Mr. David.
December 01 Thursday around 8.30am I went to Hubli for an important work, but end up in visiting a dentist friend to clean and fill my teeth. I met Geshe Thupten Tendar at Ajanta Hotel on his way back to the monastery from Delhi. We had lunch together at Ajanta. Created an ID record file for the monastery.
December 02 Friday morning I led the Ruel preparation ritual at the Education Department of the monastery. The Principal and Chief Manager reported to me. A good friend Geshe Lobsang Choedar visited me. We had a good talk. Sopon La and Tenzin came to say hello to me. Geshe Thupten Tendar reported to me, we had good talk after long time. Prepared some docs. Today is Kangso offering day at Gaden Shartse.
December 03 Saturday morning I left Gaden around 6am to travel to Hunsur to offer reception to His Holiness on his arrival to the Hunsur Tibetan Campa and Gyumed Monastery on 4th December. It took a whole day drive for us to reach Gyumed by 5pm. We travelled in a caravan of five SUVs from Mundgod to Hunsur. Today is Kangso offering day at Gaden Shartse.

October 14th Friday I started teaching short version of Lamrim at Phende Lekshe Ling Center. I had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lim. I taught first session of Lamrim teachings at 8pm at evening.
October 15th Saturday in the afternoon I continued Lamrim teachings. I had lunch with the family of Mr. Ng Pak Cheong. Mr. Lai came in and briefed me on Lumbini project.
October 16th Sunday I continued Lamrim teachings. I had lunch again with Mr. Ng and family. I did a fire puja.
October 17th Monday I met Lamaji and we had a lunch together in Sky Garden Café. In the afternoon I visited bright hill in Little India, Kwan Yin Teng, and another Sri Lankan Temple with Lamaji and Lai. I continued the Lamrim teachings.
October 18th Tuesday I did another fire puja on request.
October 19th Wednesday we paid a visit to the ash urn of Mr. Ng's parents and did short puja dedication for them. I had lunch with Mr. Ng and family at restaurant in Little India. Later I joined a meeting at UOA building with Lamaji and other old friends. I gave them company in dinner.
October 20th Thursday I did another fire puja on request. We did puja at business place of Mr. Ng. We also had our lunch with them.
October 21st Friday I did another fire puja or request. We had lunch at the place of Dato Vei. Prepared draft for the Education Dept. I had a tea with Ng and his sister.
October 22nd Saturday I had lunch with Mdm Khong and family. We did Tsog offering at the Center. I met Mr. Loo, Lai and Capt. Chin at Phende Lekshe Ling. Christine came to ask questions. I called DP in India.
October 23rd Sunday I had lunch with Mr. Sui and family. I paid a courtesy visit to Sakyamuni on request of old friends from there. I had a good chat with students gathering there for blood donation day. Christine drove us to and back.
October 24th Monday Chin Pik Ha and her family came to see me again before I left Malaysia. We had good chat together. Mr. Sui and family dropped us at the Subang Airport. Flight was delayed and on our arrival t Singapore Mr. Hui (driver) was waiting for us. He drove me back to Eng Neo.
October 25th Tuesday I rested at Eng Neo and prepared flight tickets for my upcoming trip to Bengaluru.
October 26th Wednesday is national holiday for Deepawali, hence I had my BF out with Long, Serene, Xiu and Atun.
October 27th Thursday Megawati paid a short visit to me we had good chat after long time. Jangchup Tharpa called me from Canada. I called DP and Chagzoe at Gashar Office.
October 28th Friday L and Albert came to see me we had tea together.
October 29th Saturday I did some puja and then prepared more flight tickets.
October 30th Sunday on request I did a public puja at Norbu Choling. I had lunch with Norbu Choling group. I had tea at Gong Cha with Kathsue, Karen, Jimmy and his wife. I joined the dinner gathering at Eng Neo.

My Malaysia trip
Tuesday, 30th August 2011 I called Deden to find out how is Jang Rin, is his health getting any better?
Wednesday, 31st August 2011 Jang Rin returned back to home from hospital. Gaden Tri Rinpoche arrived to Gaden, we offered official reception to Tri Rinpoche.
Thursday, 1st September 2011 my brother called me. I had a meeting with Re-incarnate lamas. I joined the weekly puja prayer held at Khensur Ladang. Attended teachings given by Tri Rinpoche in Gaden monastry.
Friday, 2nd September 2011 I arrived to Drepung for Gelug Exam. The initial gathering was presided and addressed by Vice-Chancellor Shartse Choeje Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche.
Saturday, 3rd September 2011 is first day of Gelug Exam. Jang Nyi reported to me. I paid a short visit to Rato Khenpo.
Sunday, 4th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam, a friend from Singapore called in. Gesh Thupkal and group came to report to me. Jampa came with a request. I had evening walk to Camp No. 7 with Sermey Khen Rinpoche.
Monday, 5th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. Deden and her mom brought lunch. I had good walk with Sermey Khen Rinpoche.
Tuesday, 6th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. I had a good dream. Deden reported to me, I had walk with our Geshes.
Wednesday, 7th September 2011 two Singaprean young men came to meet me. I met Mr. Poddar to discuss matters. Deden brought lunch from her home.
Thursday, 8th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. Sent an important email to a friend.
Friday, 9th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. Went back to Gaden and gave instruction to my junior. Prepared some documents to send out.
Saturday, 10th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. Geshe DG and Lama Dorje called me.
Sunday, 11th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. Met Ven. Chosphel Zotpa discussed matters with him in Drepung, in the evening I went back to Gaden.
Monday, 12th September 2011 a special prayer session in Gaden Monastery was led by Gaden Tri Rinpoche in the presence of both the Chojes. Tri Rinpoche recited the Pratimoksha Sutra in the Posadha.
Tuesday, 13th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam. In the evening participated in general meeting of the abbots of major Gelug monasteries held at Gaden, it was a long meeting.
Wednesday, 14th September 2011 in the morning I supervised Gelug Exam. In the afternoon participated in annual meeting of heads of Gelug tradition along with the abbots of major monasteries of Gelug Tradition held at Gaden Monastery. In the evening participated in special meeting of Monlam Committee held at Drepung monastery.
Thursday, 15th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam, in the evening we had AGM of Monlam Committee held in Drepung monastery.
Friday, 16th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam, in the evening I went over to village 7 for evening walk.
Saturday, 17th September 2011 I supervised the written papers section. In the evening I went back to Gaden to prepare some documents. In the evening I return back to Gaden.
Sunday, 18th September 2011 I went back to Drepung to participate as panel member to examine thesis presentation by a doctorate student. We were offered great honor to have lunch with religious leader. This evening I had an important meeting.

After that we had final gathering of the 2011 Grand Gelug Exam. I had very good time during this Gelug Exam. I said good bye to Sermey Khenpo and then we went back to Gaden.
Friday, 23rd September 2011 Gyuto Khensur Rinpoche gave a special offering to the Sangha I lead the prayer gathering. Many new comers and junior students reported to me. I supervised Pharchin Dhamcha (traditional exam). On request participated in Syndicate Bank customers meet at camp No. 3. I talked to an old friend in Europe.

Tuesday, 27th September 2011 Geshe Locho called me. I left the monastery by 8.30am and my flight from Belgaum took off around 1.35pm. My flight from Mumbai took off by 11.05pm

Saturday, 1st October 2011 I did a teachings session in China Town on request of Jun Ren, Joshua and group. Asian Amateur Golf Championship is over today, a Japanese boy won the match.

Monday, 3rd October 2011 I did a puja. I had medical checkup with Dr. Hung Chuang and Dr. Loy. Things went on well.
Tuesday, 4th October 2011 in the morning I did puja and then I left along with Albert and group to have lunch at restaurant on top of the Mustafa. My visa to visit Malaysia was delivered to me by Jun Ren. Kunleng group Skyped to fix the camera and location.
Wednesday, 5th October 2011 evening I joined Kungleng (an online Tibetan television) discussion program from VOA.
Thursday, 6th October 2011 I did puja in the morning and in the evening Kunleng group called me.
Friday, 7th October 2011 some friends called me. I called DP in India. Talked to DG and Ugyen on Skype. We learned some walking exercise from a friend, I found it interesting.
Saturday, 8th October 2011 today we went to look for BMW and Lamborghini cars in showroom with Long. In the evening I taught at Norbu Choling.
Sunday, 9th October 2011 today we had lunch at Tandoor Indian restaurant. I joined a dinner at a restaurant at fort canning to take a drink.
Monday, 10th October 2011 I did a puja this morning and then left to airport by 11am and catch Firefly flight from Singapore budget terminal towards Subang (SZB) airport in Kuala Lumpur. Our flight was delayed and by the time we arrived to Subang airport it was 2.50pm. We had late lunch at Petaling Jaya with Ng and family. Mr. Chee San called me on my arrival to PJ.
Tuesday, 11th October 2011 today I was invited to lunch by Mr. Tan Chee San and group at the Fan Chai Shiang vegetarian restaurant. We had very good discussion at this lunch. Handed over a gift send by Education project to one of the devotees.
Wednesday, 12th October 2011 today we had lunch along with Ng and group at the Lian Chi vegetarian restaurant.
Thursday, 13th October 2011 today some devotees came to see me and we had lunch together at a vegetarian restaurant. I met grandson of Chun Lian, he is a cute boy. While updating my blog I am taking a drink with Mr. Ng Pak Cheon, Lim Hue Hsin, Mr. Lim Boon Pooh, Mrs. Lim Choon Lian in Shanar Curry House. It is 9.25pm Malaysian time.
Wednesday, 31st August 2011 Jang Rin returned back to home from hospital. Gaden Tri Rinpoche arrived to Gaden, we offered official reception to Tri Rinpoche.

Friday, 2nd September 2011 I arrived to Drepung for Gelug Exam. The initial gathering was presided and addressed by Vice-Chancellor Shartse Choeje Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche.
Saturday, 3rd September 2011 is first day of Gelug Exam. Jang Nyi reported to me. I paid a short visit to Rato Khenpo.
Sunday, 4th September 2011 I was in Gelug Exam, a friend from Singapore called in. Gesh Thupkal and group came to report to me. Jampa came with a request. I had evening walk to Camp No. 7 with Sermey Khen Rinpoche.

In the Middle of Varsha Vassa
Tuesday, August 9th, I lead Tsog offering in front of the holy cremation stupa.
Wednesday, August 10th, I lead Tsog offering in front of the holy cremation stupa.
Thursday, August 11th, in the early morning I lead ritual pujas and then we opened the holy cremation stupa. I lead collecting of holy relics of H. E. Khensur Rinpoche. Later we did blessing ritual puja to the holy relics. By 9.30am we carried back holy relics to Rinpoche's residence, where it was received in an elaborate procession. An elaborate Tsog offering followed the receiving of holy relics. In the afternoon Mr. Kalsang Dawa the Rector of Central School for Tibetans Main Mundgod came to see me with invitation to be the Chief Guest of Independence day parade at the School. In the evening I felt uncomfortable with pain in my joints with fever.
Friday, August 12th, I can't sleep well the other night. Physically I didn't felt well, but I went and did inspection of quarterly examination for the junior students of Gaden Shartse School. Since my physical discomfort grew unbearable I went to Mundgod to consult Dr. Ravi Hegde. Dr. prescribed a course of antibiotics with drugs to reduce fever.
Saturday, August 13th, the whole past night I can't sleep well. Since I was not feeling well can't attend the regular Posadha and preparatory rights for the Varsha vassa.
Sunday, August 14th, I felt better this morning. Past night I slept relatively OK. In the morning I did take oath to remain in this monastery for this Varsha vasssa.
Monday, August 15th, Independence day of great nation India. I lead the assembly in the main unit of Central School for Tibetans in Mundgod, addressed the gathering and greeted them on the occasion. I enjoyed magnificent cultural performance by many group of students.
Tuesday, August 16th, the beginning of summer debate semester at Gaden Shartse. Senior monks came to seek special permission (a traditional procedure). Students came to receive instructions on recitation of texts during upcoming inspection ceremony. Information came out about self-immolation by a young monk Tsewang Norbu in Tibet in protest again Chinese oppression. A special candle light procession was organized to appreciate courage and dare act of heroism. I lead the gathering along with others and addressed it.
Wednesday, August 17th, I lead first day of traditional inspection ceremony in the debate courtyard. In the evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Thursday, August 18th, I lead second day of traditional inspection ceremony in the debate courtyard. This day mark completion of third week since parinirwana of H. E. Khensur Rinpoche, self-initiation ritual of Vajrabhairava thirteen deities was organized in Gaden Shartse and I lead the prayer gathering. Decky Dolkar and Tenzin Deden along with her baby Jangchup came to see me. In the evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Friday, August 19th, I lead third day of traditional inspection ceremony in the debate courtyard. Education Project organized to celebrate the installation of doors at construction site. We were offered a feast after the ceremony. In the afternoon, I along with Gajang Khen Rinpoche lead the Lingse ceremonial gathering in Gaden Lachi. In the evening I delivered once a year rare speech (traditional) at the debate courtyard. Traditionally this speech is one of the major addresses done by the abbot to the monks gathered in debate courtyard. It is more an advice to remind and refresh understanding of rules and code of conducts rather than a policy speech. In the evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Saturday, August 20th, we had a special to meeting to elect candidate to fill up vacancy. O called brother Raju after long time to find out how he and others are doing. I called my colleagues to fix some important matters. In the morning and evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Sunday, August 21st, I along with Gajang Khen Rinpoche lead another Lingse ceremonial gathering in Gaden Lachi (actually this gathering was scheduled in May but due to some reason it was postponed up to this point). At Gaden Lachi I joined a meeting with Gajang Khen Rinpoche and both in charge of discipline of Gaden Monastery. I once again called my colleagues to fix important matters. In the morning and evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Monday, August 22nd, is weekly holiday. A group of three nuns from local nunnery came to see me with request to send a group of expert delegates to participate in an upcoming conference on Vinaya. I had good conversation with them.
Tuesday, August 23rd, Geshe Jampa Wangchuk reported to me brought written report. The Jang Gun Choe for this year may get shifted. I received calls from my colleagues on important issues. In the morning and evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Wednesday, August 24th, I forwarded the documents received from Geshe Jampa Wangchuk. Geshe L. Tengyal reported to me with new set of documents. I enrolled a new monk from Ngahari. Today is special day to chant Gyen Jug, so no debate session. We did inspection of special debate gatherings done in the houses.
Thursday, August 25th, I started giving classes on request. In the morning and evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions. This day mark completion of fourth week since parinirwana of H. E. Khensur Rinpoche, special prayers gatherings where done in Gaden Shartse.
Friday, August 26th, the ex-principal of Gaden Shartse School reported to me. We had a special meeting at Gaden Lachi on the issue of health services under Heath Department of CTA. Zong Chagzoe Tenzin Wangchuk la came and report to me after returning back from USA. In the morning and evening I did inspection of daily debate sessions.
Saturday, August 27th, first day of Kangso (whole day chanting) worship in Gaden Shartse Monastery. I prepared letters. I cleaned my Office to get rid of papers, files and envelops amassed in the course of time.
Sunday, August 28th, second day of Kangso (whole day chanting) worship in Gaden Shartse Monastery. Geshe Wangchuk the head of Education Project reported to me. Wrote and important email. I chaired the result announcement ceremony for junior students in the general hall of Gaden Shartse School, I also gave a short speech on the occasion.

On return back to my monastery.
Thursday July 7th I went out to visit Smithsonian museum of Natural History, I found this museum very educating and felt I need more time to learn lot of things from here. I also felt this is wonderful result of specialized research of many decades. I was invited by Lama Lobsang Dhamcho Nyima to lunch at a hotel.
Friday July 8th I went out to tour Washington DC, visited White House, Lincoln memorial, WW II memorial, National monument, Air and space museum, Old castle part of Smithsonian, city of Alexandria and George Washington Masonic memorial. It was really interesting to see the epicenter of political power on planet earth. I felt most of these memorials have some history connected to it good things like equal rights, liberty, freedom and democracy etc. and bad part like war, killing, destruction of enemy and arms race etc.
Saturday July 9th I visited Native American museum, I found the structure very enticing, but not that much to see inside except lot of multimedia information sources. I was invited to lunch with Andy and Jenifer at the Mongolian barbeque restaurant.
Sunday July 10th I am invited to lunch by Tsultrim and his wife. We had the lunch at nearby Indian restaurant. After the lunch I attended the preliminary teachings by His Holiness on Stages of meditation and 37 practices of Bodhisattva.
Monday July 11th I am invited to lunch by Jenifer and we had our lunch at Mexican restaurant just in front of the Varizon Center. Today we planned to visit George Town but it didn't work out. First time I had a bus ride in the Washington DC. Bus was neat and good. His Holiness taught on Stages of meditation and 37 practices of Bodhisattva. This day I lost my sunglasses, but I only realized when I was about to arrive back to my accommodation in Fairfax Virginia.
Tuesday July 12th I was invited to lunch by group of Vietnamese students, we had our lunch at a Thai restaurant. We watched the sacred dance performance part of the Kalachakra ritual.
Wednesday July 13th I was invited to lunch by Dhamchoe and his wife, we had lunch at an Indian restaurant at the corner of 17th Street and L Street. Dhamchoe is ex-monk from Gashar and it was good to get together on lunch share old memories. His Holiness taught remaining portion of Stages of meditation and 37 practices of Bodhisattva. Later he conferred preparatory rites of Kalachakra Initiation.
Thursday July 14th I was invited to lunch by group of TDL students, we had lunch at the Thai restaurant at the lobby of multiplex next to the Varizon Center. Today His Holiness conferred entering into the Mandala portion. I think the Archbishop was present in this session of initiation. We also had opportunity to view the holy mandala of great Kalachakra.
Friday July 15th I was invited to lunch by Andy and Jenifer, both of them, Fortuna, Elisa and I had lunch at Clyde's an American restaurant just next to the Varizon Center. Today His Holiness conferred complete empowerment of Kalachakra.
Saturday July 16th in the morning we received long life empowerment of White Tara, after that we offered offerings of longevity to His Holiness. The offering ceremony was led by Samdhong Rinpoche. His Holiness left to meet President Mr. Obama to White house. I was invited to lunch by group of Taiwanese friends and we had lunch at Japanese restaurant next to the Varizon Center. Later I visited the George Town and Capitol hill (American version of parliament house) only the backside of it.
Sunday July 17th early morning I was dropped at the Reagan national airport by Andy and Jenifer. We catch our flight with United Airlines from Washington to Chicago and from Chicago catch other flight to LAX by 11am we arrived to Los Angeles and then we went directly to Home Town in Long Beach for our lunch. Ann Kim Nguyen came to see me.
Monday July 18th in the morning I had an appointment with Dr. Siouty. Later I was invited to lunch by Judy and Cary's home; I spent some time with them. Their backyard was under construction. Later we visited Jeff's home and the beautiful sea side near his home.
Tuesday July 19th I had magnificent flight in Cessna piloted by Park Randy. We took off from Santa Anna airport (note this is a unique airport with three names; other two are John Wien airport and Orange County Airport). We flew the plane over Santa Anna and south coast of California. I tried my hand on piloting by taking control for some time it was fun. Later Randy drove me to Laguna Niguel to home of Hy Pham and Lee Pham. There I had lunch together with Randy, Ann Kim, and Hy's family. After the lunch we walked on one of the beaches nearby, it was fun to see people waiting to catch waves. Surfing looks crazy but enjoyable and good to health.
Wednesday July 20th I had a meeting with provost at UCI and then we had lunch at home Duyet and Bibi Do. I Bought medicines from Target.
Thursday July 21st I was invited to lunch at a Japanes Buffet by Tashi and Lobsang Rabgye. In the evening I left TDL to LAX to catch my flight to Newark.
Friday July 22nd on my arrival to Newark by 6.50am I was received by Sangye Dolma and her brother Chagdor. We went to the home Chagdor and I rested there for rest of the till I leave to airport in the evening. I met Geshe Dorje Gyaltse and some family friends of Chagdor. I had a good rest in home of Chagdor. We had good lunch prepared by Sangye and her in-law. In the evening around five pm we left home of Chagdor and we were drove back to Airport by sister of Sangye Dolma. I catch my flight to Mumbai from Newark with Continental Airlines, but our flight was delay from Newark.
Saturday July 23rd I arrived to Mumbai by 11.30pm arrival was delayed by two hours. It took me another two hours to find out the accommodation I reserved for my stay in Mumbai, but finally I manage to get there, which was in a kind of slum area very close to the Airport. Rested there.
Sunday July 24th after waking up did regular activities and then asked for breakfast. I was served very good breakfast; fresh Potato Paranthas with tea. After finishing my breakfast I packed up and checked out to go back to airport to catch next flight to Belgaum. By 11.30am I catch my flight and arrived to Belgaum by 1pm. Headed back to home from Belgaum, but we had our lunch at Belgaum city. By 5pm I arrived back to my residence in Gaden Monastery.
Monday July 25th Gashar Chagzoe reported to me on administrative mater. I heard His Eminence Khensur Rinpoche Jampa Yeshe is hospitalized in ICU in Life Line Hospital in Hubli. I called Chodak to find out to see Rinpoche, but Chodak told me to wait some time.
Tuesday July 26th I distributed the letters and donations I carried all the way from USA to Chagzokhang, Education Project and others. Philip and Adi came to see me while taking breakfast we talked. I prepared a report to submit to Dept. of Religion and Culture CTA.
Wednesday July 27th I enrolled many new joiners left pending during my travel. I did inspection of debate after coming back from USA. Disciplinarian Geshe Jangchup Dorje reported to me on overall matters. Some individual students also reported to me.
Thursday July 28th more monks came to report to me. I wrote a letter to His Eminence Khensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche with a formal request to allow us to offer him offerings for longevity, but unfortunately permission and reply never came.
Friday July 29th by 6am His Eminence Khensur Rinpoche passed away. His Eminence entered in clear light meditation. As I was informed I felt I lost a very kind and wise teacher and Gaden Shartse Lost great leader, scholar and practitioner. I immediately prepared myself to receive his holy remains and personally went up to Hubli to receive it. On seeing his holy remains I offered Khata and did prayers. After arriving to Khensur Ladang I once again paid respect, offered Khata and did prayers. We started doing pujas and prayers.

Monday August 8th in procession Holy remains were brought to the cremation place and I led ritual of fire puja in cremation procedure of the holy remains of His Eminence Khensur Rinpoche. We are doing regular pujas and rituals in Khensure Ladang and also in the monastery.
Friday July 8th I went out to tour Washington DC, visited White House, Lincoln memorial, WW II memorial, National monument, Air and space museum, Old castle part of Smithsonian, city of Alexandria and George Washington Masonic memorial. It was really interesting to see the epicenter of political power on planet earth. I felt most of these memorials have some history connected to it good things like equal rights, liberty, freedom and democracy etc. and bad part like war, killing, destruction of enemy and arms race etc.

USA tour
Monday, June 20th I flew with Alaska Airlines from Oakland to Seattle, Washington. Mr. Xiu came to receive me at the Tacoma airport at Seattle. I was taken to the tour of University of Washington and later I arrived to the house of Mr. & Mrs. Lam at Broadmoor Road. This evening we walked out to have a look at beautiful garden of the neighborhood.
Tuesday, June 21st I had lunch with the Gaden Shartse group traveling in Seattle at Mr. & Mrs. Lam's place with Xiu and their family friends. Together with the monks we did short blessings to the house. This evening too we went on a walk to look around beautiful garden in the neighborhood and took lot of photos of flowers. We went out on tour of the city of Seattle. Went to farmers market and first ever outlet of Starbucks coffee. We also toured the Microsoft word's buildings.
Wednesday, June 22nd we went to tour Snoqualmie waterfall in east part of the Washington state.
Thursday, June 23rd we had out breakfast out in a hotel and drove around the city, went to a public park to view the City of Seattle.
Friday, June 24th Xiu dropped me back at the Tacoma airport; I flew with Jetblue and by 5.30pm I arrived to Long Beach.
Saturday, June 25th early morning we left Long Beach to go to Utah. Christine drove us to Las Vegas and we had lunch in Las Vegas along with Dr. Leduk family and staff. We walked through the streets of Las Vegas for a short period. This evening we arrived to Zion National Park and then camped in Zion Ponderosa resort.
Sunday, June 26th we drove back to Zion National Park and then went on hiking to Angeles landing. It was tough hiking with very tight boot, so do I get blisters on left heel and some of my leg nails became dark blue. We also did hike a river trail in the afternoon. In the evening we went back to out camp.
Monday, June 27th we drove to the Bryce Canyon (ah it is beautiful place on earth, I wonder the nature’s way of carving all these wonderful designs) and did another hiking in the Bryce Canyon. We walked down from Sunset view up to the Sunrise view it was really beautiful. This evening we made campfire and I had good time joining American camping with performance given by every group.
Tuesday, June 28th we packed up this morning and then left our campsite. We drove through Zion National Park and had our lunch at a small town up in the desert of California. In the late afternoon we arrived to GSTDL at Long Beach. I did packed my bag to take flight to Minneapolis. I left the GSTDL center at 9.30pm to catch my flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis through Dallas, TX.

On my arrival to Minneapolis International Airport Tenzin Chodon, Pema Tsewang (my cousin) their son Woeser and their nephew Kunga was there to receive me. From the Airport we went directly to their home and three groups on friend came in succession to greet me on my arrival to Minneapolis. Majority of them are alumni of Gaden Shartse Monastery.
Thursday, June 30th on request I went to home of Agu Samten and Dhondup to do short blessings and I had my lunch at Dhondup's home. I had lunch with Geshe Gendun, Agu and Dhondup. In the evening we went to Mall of America with Pema Tsewang, Tenzin and kids, they took their dinner and I had a drink in the mall.
Friday, July 1st early morning we headed up-north to Duluth. It was a foggy day and most resting areas were closed. Road to Split Rock was closed too. Se we came back to Gooseberry waterfall and enjoyed our time there. We had our Lunch in the open place next to the main road. Due to closure of all the resting areas, it was inconvenient but we managed very well. Then on the way back we went to a Public Park garden next to the Lake Superior. We further went to the Duluth port and the Army Core Engineer museum. We saw a big ship from Canada coming in to the port of Duluth. On the way back to Minneapolis from Duluth we have to go through heavy rain. It was dangerous and hard to drive. This night we all stayed at house of Jampa Ngodup and Nyima Tsamchoe.
Saturday, July 2nd we had a gathering of alumnus of Gaden Shartse Monastery with a potluck. We gathered at the Silver Lake and had very good time together. After that we went to Mall of America again and then to home of Jampa Ngodup. We had good time together talking and sharing things.
Sunday, July 3rd on request I did a short teaching at Khacholing Center and then we had our lunch at Gyuto Monastery. After the lunch I went back to the place of Jampa Ngodup and Tsamchoe and rested for some time. Later this evening we had very good family and friends gathering at Jampa Ngodup and Tsamchoe's place the kids sang song, played music and danced to entertain us. Pema Tsewang too did sing songs. It was really good to spend some time with relatives and friends in recreational activities to refresh myself.
Monday, July 4th in the morning we left Pema Tsewang's home and went to Airport. Geshe Gendup, Agu Samten and Tsewang Dhondup were there to see off me. We spend some time together talking and taking photos. Arrived to Long Beach Center by 4.30pm. I met a devotee on her request and then did packed my bag again for Washington DC trip.
Tuesday, July 5th we left the center in the morning went to LAX and then from Lax took flight to Washington DC through Chicago. We arrived to Washington DC by 6.30 in the evening. After dropping Geshe Tsultrim at George Washington University I along with Wangmo and her husband went to their home in Springfield, Fairfax.
Wednesday, July 6th I went to the first day of the Kalachakra 2011 Washington event at Verizon Center, Washington DC. His Holiness Dalai Lama gave introductory teachings with formal supplication part of the Kalachakra initiation from 9.20am to 10.20am. Later we had Celebration of His Holiness birthday at the same venue with Mr. Arun Gandhi (Grandson of M. K. Gandhi) and Martin Luther King IIIrd (Son of Martin Luther King Jr). It was a very good celebration.

Thursday, June 30th on request I went to home of Agu Samten and Dhondup to do short blessings and I had my lunch at Dhondup's home. I had lunch with Geshe Gendun, Agu and Dhondup. In the evening we went to Mall of America with Pema Tsewang, Tenzin and kids, they took their dinner and I had a drink in the mall.
Friday, July 1st early morning we headed up-north to Duluth. It was a foggy day and most resting areas were closed. Road to Split Rock was closed too. Se we came back to Gooseberry waterfall and enjoyed our time there. We had our Lunch in the open place next to the main road. Due to closure of all the resting areas, it was inconvenient but we managed very well. Then on the way back we went to a Public Park garden next to the Lake Superior. We further went to the Duluth port and the Army Core Engineer museum. We saw a big ship from Canada coming in to the port of Duluth. On the way back to Minneapolis from Duluth we have to go through heavy rain. It was dangerous and hard to drive. This night we all stayed at house of Jampa Ngodup and Nyima Tsamchoe.
Saturday, July 2nd we had a gathering of alumnus of Gaden Shartse Monastery with a potluck. We gathered at the Silver Lake and had very good time together. After that we went to Mall of America again and then to home of Jampa Ngodup. We had good time together talking and sharing things.
Sunday, July 3rd on request I did a short teaching at Khacholing Center and then we had our lunch at Gyuto Monastery. After the lunch I went back to the place of Jampa Ngodup and Tsamchoe and rested for some time. Later this evening we had very good family and friends gathering at Jampa Ngodup and Tsamchoe's place the kids sang song, played music and danced to entertain us. Pema Tsewang too did sing songs. It was really good to spend some time with relatives and friends in recreational activities to refresh myself.
Monday, July 4th in the morning we left Pema Tsewang's home and went to Airport. Geshe Gendup, Agu Samten and Tsewang Dhondup were there to see off me. We spend some time together talking and taking photos. Arrived to Long Beach Center by 4.30pm. I met a devotee on her request and then did packed my bag again for Washington DC trip.
Tuesday, July 5th we left the center in the morning went to LAX and then from Lax took flight to Washington DC through Chicago. We arrived to Washington DC by 6.30 in the evening. After dropping Geshe Tsultrim at George Washington University I along with Wangmo and her husband went to their home in Springfield, Fairfax.
Wednesday, July 6th I went to the first day of the Kalachakra 2011 Washington event at Verizon Center, Washington DC. His Holiness Dalai Lama gave introductory teachings with formal supplication part of the Kalachakra initiation from 9.20am to 10.20am. Later we had Celebration of His Holiness birthday at the same venue with Mr. Arun Gandhi (Grandson of M. K. Gandhi) and Martin Luther King IIIrd (Son of Martin Luther King Jr). It was a very good celebration.
